Most of you will have seen or heard in the news that along with many other sectors of society it is now the turn of teachers to voice their grievance against the government. Last week the National Education Union (NEU) issued their formal notice to all schools, of their intention for industrial action, including strike action.
There will now be local and national meetings, and we are hoping for negotiations to be swift and wise. However, it is important at this point to alert you to the very real possibility that our school will be, at least, partially closed.
The first two strike dates: Wednesday 1st February and Thursday 2nd March 2023.
We realise that this presents some parents with significant difficulties and any action such as this is not taken lightly and is an absolute last resort.
