Due to the ongoing Covid situation, we will be holding Parents’ evenings by Zoom again this term. Google forms will be sent out next week and dates are below for the different classes. We will organise Book Sharing sessions in the week of the 22nd November.
We are hoping to relaunch our social media presence in the next few weeks. We would be very grateful if you could complete the Google form survey to indicate which platform you feel would be the most effective for this.
We still hope to hold this in school but will review whether this is possible by Wednesday and let you know. If we cannot hold it in person, we will hold it on Zoom.
We ask that you continue to regularly test your children using lateral flow tests. Please make sure that the result has come through fully before bringing your child to school.
Year 2 have finished their forest school sessions for this term so parents can take their wellies home. Year 1 and 3 will have forest school sessions on a Wednesday for the second half of the term. We will be holding a ‘settling in’ meeting for all Year R parents on Thursday 11th November at 2.15pm. This is a group opportunity for you to find out about what your child is learning, how they are learning and the types of things that you can support them with at home.
These will be on the evenings of 16th, 17th and 18th November (depending on classes). A google form will be circulated regarding this after half term when a decision will be made regarding whether they will be in person or virtual.
You may like to take your children to the Chichester Eco Festival event that is being held on 6th November to coincide with the COP26 Conference. It is being held at Newell Centre from 3pm-8.30pm. We will be contributing to an art display of postcards to world leaders as part of this event.
If your child is a budding photographer, they might like to take a picture that can be part of our school entry to the above competition. The theme is ‘My City’s Sporting Life’ and so photos should be taken that reflect any kind of sport that you have seen in Chichester and the surrounding area.
