If you are having a sort out of your child’s old clothes, we would be very grateful for any jogging trousers (or similar), socks, old jumpers and coats that we can use if children get very wet outside. All sizes and genders gratefully received.
Please remember that children should NOT have sweets, chocolate sweets or fizzy drinks in their packed lunch.
Please ensure that your child wears the correct uniform and that includes shoes and PE kit. On PE days, children should wear their normal school jumper or cardigan. Swimming lessons start on 9th January for all Year 5 pupils.
Forest School will be for Year 6 and Year 4. Please ensure that children are wearing appropriate clothing every Wednesday until half term.
During the spring term PE will be as follows: YR- Monday and Friday Y1- Thur and Fri Y2- Tues and Wed Y3- Mon and Wed Y4- Mon and Thur Y5- Swimming Mon and Fri Y6- Tues and Wed (children come to school in PE kit and bring warm clothes and suitable footwear for Forest School)
To combat the ‘January blues’ we will be having a ‘Cheer up January’ week from 16-20th Jan. Monday 16th will be a dress in multi-colours day and Friday 20th will be promise day (where children can redeem the promises they won at the Christmas fair.) There will be more events and details nearer the time.
To give Year 6 parents the opportunity to meet Mrs Teakle, there will be a short informal meeting on Tuesday 10th January at 3.10 to give you the chance to put a face to the name and ask any questions you may have.
It has turned very cold this week and is set to continue, please can you make sure that your child wears a coat to school everyday and may need hat and gloves as well. They will need to wear a coat outside so please help us to encourage them to wear it.
Children can wear their Christmas jumper on this day (or similar) with their uniform. Children in Year 1 and 3 will still have Forest School so need to have appropriate clothing for that.
