On 4th February we will be holding an Eco Day. The school council have thought of some great ideas for this day based on the theme of raising awareness of eco issues and thinking about how we can protect our planet. In addition, on this day the children can come to school dressed in something green and their own clothes for a small donation which will go towards the renovation of our outside classroom – The Den. This renovation is being carried out by four University of Chichester teaching students as part of their course. Here is a message from them:
“We are four teaching students from the University of Chichester, and we are aiming to ‘make change happen’ at North Mundham School. We have started working on a mural on the walls of ‘The Den’ alongside some new planters that will sit around the outside of the ‘The Den’. We hope that the new plants will be an attractive and eco-friendly addition to the school grounds! The children will be involved in the mural, and we hope to unveil it in April. We want to raise some money for the planters and mural, so please dress in green and help us make this project a success!”
